Alo Yoga Partners with The Sandbox to Launch Exclusive Wearables Collection in Metaverse
In Brief
During Paris Fashion Week, Alo Yoga has partnered with The Sandbox to launch an exclusive collection of Alo wearables for The Sandbox’s avatars.
The collection features a bucket hat, sweatpants, and a hoodie, and will be available for redemption from March 1 to March 31.
Decentralized virtual gaming world The Sandbox has partnered with Alo Yoga, a global lifestyle and wellness brand. They will release an exclusive collection of Alo wearables for use within The Sandbox’s metaverse. The collection features a bucket hat, sweatpants, and a hoodie and will launch during Paris Fashion Week as a free-to-enter raffle on March 1. The drop celebrates digital identity and mindfulness in the digital space, coinciding with the end of Fashion Month and the continuation of Digital Fashion Month.
The new Alo wearable collection in The Sandbox emphasizes the brand’s “digital and social-first” approach, providing opportunities to engage with its community through decentralized platforms, exclusive member rewards, and digital ownership. This launch comes after Alo’s Aspen Collection NFTs, which grant owners VIP experiences such as personalized shopping, access to Alo Wellness Clubs, and the forthcoming Alo Houses.
Alo Yoga’s CMO and Global Head of Marketing and Web3, Angelic Vendette, stated in a press release that their new digital wearables collection is a way to celebrate digital identity and connect with their community.
“As Web3 continues to unlock new ways for us to meaningfully engage with the world, and ensure mindfulness is top of mind, we are thrilled to be partnering with The Sandbox for this launch as it represents the future of co-building and co-ownership alongside our wellness community,”
Vendette added.
The Alo Yoga digital wearable collection can be redeemed from March 1 to March 31. The event will also have virtual yoga, breathwork, and meditation classes during Metaverse Fashion Week on March 27-29, which takes place in Decentraland.
The LA-based lifestyle brand already has some knowledge and expertise in the metaverse. Last month, Alo Yoga launched a virtual store in collaboration with Obsess. The digital shopping experience can be accessed through a desktop, mobile device, or Meta Quest 2 headset and offers digital styling, beauty and wellness tutorials, workout classes, and an easy checkout process. Last year, Alo Yoga created a virtual wellness space in Roblox with 65 million visits. The space had meditation, yoga classes, and an online store.
Alo Yoga’s collaboration with The Sandbox shows a growing interest in web3 and metaverse technology by lifestyle and wellness brands. This move also allows Alo Yoga to engage with its community in a more meaningful and immersive way while embracing digital ownership and rewarding exclusive member benefits.
